Best Diet for the Best Tan?

So you have the beautiful tan and now you want the beautiful body to go with it, right?

“The South Beach Diet” is a popular weight-loss program created in 2003 by American cardiologist Dr. Arthur Agatston.

A couple of our South Beach Tan ambassadors have tried this program and it really, truly works! The name “South Beach” is purely coincidence.

The program is more a lifestyle choice than a diet and its super easy to follow. The best part is you don’t need to weigh food or count calories & you never go hungry.

There are 3 phases of the program. The first phase is the most restrictive but the good thing is you only have to follow it for two weeks. You will cut out sugar as well as fruit (fruit has a high natural sugar content), starches (bread /potatoes / rice) and have limited dairy. You will be eating mainly lean meats and green veg. Only low glycaemic index vegetables are allowed on Phase 1.

In the upcoming phases, you will slowly add back fruits and complex carbs. The weight loss is slower in these phases but you won’t ever feel deprived. Dining out with friends won’t be an issue, as just about any decent restaurant (fast food does not fall into this category) will cater for what’s allowed on the program.
