Sunlight can lead to weight loss!

Yes you read that right. Safe sun exposure can actually help you burn those unwanted love handles.

The glorious sun radiates fat-burning rays and Vitamin D which has so many health benefits.

Vitamin D lowers cortisol levels up to 40%. Cortisol is the stress hormone which can cause your belly to swell. Vitamin D also lowers insulin resistance which is a major contributing factor to obesity.

If a person doesn’t get sufficient light at the appropriate time of day, it could de-synchronise your internal body clock, which is known to alter metabolism and can lead to weight gain.

Scientists have discovered that getting a good dose of early morning sunshine really does improve health by lowering body fat.

So just like getting a good amount of sleep, you should make sure you are getting enough sunshine between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. in order to help regulate metabolism, satiety and stave off hunger.

Did you know that more sun also equals less hunger? The theory here is that as the body temperature drops, you feel hungrier. As the body temperature rises, you feel less hungry. This can result in greater calorie consumption during periods with less sunlight, which can cause a fluctuation in weight.

Try starting the day with a brisk 20 minute walk , knowing that the more sunlight you get the more chance those skinny jeans will slide on with ease. Why not boost your tan and shape up in the sun at the same time?
